01

Scanning and perception

Practical training for perception and speed of action.

It is about the moments in football that often last only a few seconds or even fractions of a second: taking in information, reading situations, making decisions and then acting.

Example content
  • Scanning and pre-orientation
  • Perceiving space, teammates and opponents
  • Decisions under opponent pressure
  • Reaction, catching and perception games
  • Drills and games with perception gloves

One possible outline – Peter Schreiner agrees the exact focus with your club and coaches beforehand.

02

Two-footedness in football

Two different concepts – from a purely quantitative view to choosing the right action for each situation.

Functional two-footedness does not mean using both feet equally often. What counts is the quality of the action and the player’s ability to use the technically and tactically best foot effectively in a specific match situation.

Example content
  • Choosing the right foot for the situation
  • Combining perception, decision-making and technique
  • Acting effectively under time and opponent pressure
  • Quality of action rather than an even split
  • Practical examples for warm-ups and passing drills in groups of 2, 3 and 4

One possible outline – Peter Schreiner agrees the exact focus with your club and coaches beforehand.

03

Finishing training

Peter Schreiner’s finishing matrix – the 8 stages from beginner to goalscorer.

The finishing matrix gives a structured view of the different areas of finishing training and connects them. It is not only about the shot itself, but also about preparing the finish, choosing the foot, precision and different match situations.

Example content
  • Theoretical introduction to the finishing matrix
  • Individual training for strikers
  • Two-footedness and precision when shooting
  • 1 v 1 against the goalkeeper
  • Game intelligence and speed of action in front of goal

One possible outline – Peter Schreiner agrees the exact focus with your club and coaches beforehand.

04

Coordination training

From general to football-specific coordination training with the ball.

Players who struggle with their balance also struggle with the ball. Coordination training improves body awareness when performing football techniques and develops a good sense of space and timing.

Example content
  • From general to football-specific coordination training
  • Balance and body awareness
  • Coordinative technique and tactics training

One possible outline – Peter Schreiner agrees the exact focus with your club and coaches beforehand.

05

FUNiño

Developing game intelligence in youth football – as a seminar with theory and practice.

Peter Schreiner is an expert in FUNiño and was a long-time companion of Horst Wein from the 1990s onwards; together they also produced online seminars on the topic. He offers FUNiño as a seminar with theory and practice – on request with demonstration groups on your own pitch.

Example content
  • Theory: FUNiño and the development of game intelligence
  • Practice: FUNiño games with demonstration groups on the pitch
  • Methodology and coaching in youth football

One possible outline – Peter Schreiner agrees the exact focus with your club and coaches beforehand.

06

Current trends in youth football

Live seminar with theory and practice on the pitch – for coaches of U9 to U15 teams.

After a theoretical introduction, the content is put into practice on the pitch with demonstration groups. That way the exercises are not just shown – they are tried out straight away with young players.

Example content
  • Theory: perception training and two-footedness in football
  • Practice 1: reaction, catching and perception games, passing warm-ups, two-footed finishing
  • Practice 2: advanced perception training, final game focused on reaction
  • Debrief
