On Saturday, 15 April, Peter Schreiner ran a four-hour online workshop for licence renewal. A total of 37 participants followed the presentation with great interest, asked specific, detailed questions and worked actively in small groups on a task about two-footedness.
The event was led by Christoph Pinke in his role as BDFL association officer.
Under the title “Developing complete goalscorers: two-footedness as the key to scoring”, several practical modules were covered. These included an analysis of Europe’s top goalscorers, an overview of the eight typical finishing categories and the targeted development of two-footedness in passing and finishing. The content was complemented by concrete application examples in various game forms.
The participants particularly praised the combination of theory and practice. Numerous video sequences illustrated the content and made it immediately applicable.
One participant summed it up like this:
“Many thanks for the great presentation and the many ideas for putting it into practice.”
Another piece of feedback read:
“What I particularly liked was that the theory was backed up with lots of video footage from real practice.”
The workshop thus provided valuable input for training work and impressively demonstrated how crucial two-footedness is for the goalscoring success of modern players.
